full stack
developer

I build scalable, reliable web applications with .NET, React and SQL Server, from the database to the last pixel.

<cybersecurity
analyst>

I look at every feature the way an attacker would, so what I ship is secure by default.

about.

I’m a full stack developer and cybersecurity analyst who enjoys turning complex problems into simple, efficient and meaningful software.

I graduated from the Software Development Program at MITT in 2024 and have spent three years building web applications. A year in cyber security changed how I build. Every form, endpoint and query now starts with one question: how could this be abused?

01Disciplines

Part builder,
part defender.

Three years shipping software, one year securing it. Each side sharpens the other: I build like a defender and defend like a builder.

Excellence is built through consistency, discipline and continuous improvement.
secure_by_default

Security starts at the first commit

I validate inputs, scope permissions and handle secrets from day one, so nothing has to be bolted on later.

simple > clever

Clear code is safer code

Code that’s easy to read is easy to review, and code that’s easy to review is harder to exploit.

people.first()

Built for the person using it

Fast, accessible, responsive interfaces. A secure product nobody enjoys using hasn’t solved the problem.

What teammates say

“
Richard brings calm to a busy sprint. On EduPath he turned rough ideas into clean, responsive pages fast, and still made time to help the rest of us untangle our CSS.
MarceloTeammate · EduPath
“
He’s the teammate who asks “what happens if someone abuses this?” before anyone else does. His code is readable, his reviews are thoughtful and he ships on time.
BernardTeammate · Government of Manitoba
“
Working with Richard on EduPath was easy. He communicates clearly, owns his tasks end to end and cares about the details users actually notice.
